Extended validity of the semester ticket // 30 April

The Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) will continue to accept the VBB semester tickets for the winter semester 2019/20, which expire on March 31, 2020, as a valid ticket for use of the public transportation system. This applies to the period through April 30, 2020, for now. The semester ticket holder must also carry with them and be able to present a certificate of enrollment for the summer semester 2020.

Dahlem Research School Online Course Program

Dear doctoral and postdoctoral researchers,

the summer semester will definitely be an unusual one and so will be our course program! Together with our amazingly flexible and highly committed trainers we have developed new online formats for you and are ready to offer the first courses this way, starting with online disputation training at the end of April.

An overview of all planned courses will be published on our course booking platform (www.drs.fu-berlin.de) on Friday, April 3, 2020. You will be able to book the first available courses from Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 12.00 noon and after that, as they become available. We will keep announcing new available courses via the newsletter (sign up here!)  

Where online formats are not possible, we will postpone courses pending further developments. We are aiming to offer all courses that were originally planned for this summer online, but it is likely that there will be further changes during the semester. Submission of research-based business ideas

The Berlin University Network is looking for ideas for products, processes, applications and/or business models from research. As a participant, you will receive feedback from experts on the utilization potential of your research results. You can also win prize money totaling 9,000 euros. A special prize will also be awarded for application ideas that solve current problems in connection with the "CORONA crisis".

The closing date for entries is 3rd May 2020.
