Podiumsdiskussion | Biodiversity monitoring - campuses as citizen science projects

20.02.2025 | 18:30 - 20:00

Una Europa Lecture

A first Una Europa Biodiversity Workshop taking place from February 19-21 brings together experts and students from Una Europa partner universities to discuss key topics in biodiversity monitoring and what universities can achieve in this area together with society. As part of the workshop, we invite a broader audience to a public panel discussion facilitated as Una Europa Lecture.

The panel discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities of biodiversity monitoring, with time for audience questions and an open exchange of ideas.

After the discussion, you are invited to join us in the entry hall of the building for informal networking, refreshments, and an opportunity to view posters prepared by students about each Una Europa location.

Speakers:

  • Aletta Bonn, Berlin’s State Commissioner for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management
  • Professor José Aguirre, Representatives of the Biodiversity Monitoring Group UCM Madrid
  • Vivien Lovette, Bachelor’s student at Freie Universität Berlin and contributor to the Blühender Campus project

We look forward to welcoming you either if you are biodiversity expert, researcher, student or just interested in the topic!

Please note: the event will be held in English languague.
