Online Workshop on the Nagoya Protocol // Nov 18
What do researchers need to be aware of when working with biological material from abroad? The members of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA), Freie Universität, Humboldt-Universität, Technische Universität und Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin together with the German Nagoya Protocol HuB are organizing a joint online workshop on the Nagoya Protocol: What are the compliance obligations of researchers, what happens in case of non-compliance? In addition to an expert input from the German Nagoya Protocol HuB with opportunities for everyone to ask questions, the procedures at HU, FU, TU and Charité will be explained in detail in breakout rooms.

Good Research Practice Week 2024 // Nov 25 - 28
From November 25 to 28, 2024, the university will host a series of events that highlight different facets of research integrity from artificial intelligence to effective mentoring to plagiarism pitfalls and the publishing process. We are especially excited to announce this year's keynote speaker, Professor Weber-Wulff of HTW Berlin - University of Applied Sciences, who will give a talk on "Artificial Intelligence in Education and Research" on Wednesday, November 27. We also hope you will join us for the final panel discussion on Thursday, November 28, where experts will discuss the challenges involved in defending research integrity.
Please note that while the majority of events will be held in German, the program does include several workshops in English. The events are open to all members of the university.

The next Networking Day at the Department of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy will take place
on Thursday, January 16, 2025, starting at 4:15 pm in Arnimallee 22.
The afternoon will start in the large lecture hall with short lectures by
- Prof. Dr. Anne Seidlitz, newly appointed for Pharmaceutical Technology
- Prof. Dr. Lars Heinke, newly appointed for Physical Chemistry, Specialized in Spectroscopy
After the lecture, there will be the poster session in the foyer with drinks and pretzels. All working groups of the department are cordially invited to present a poster there. Further details and a poster template will follow.
As in previous years, students are also invited - among other things, to look for a topic for their Master's thesis if required.
