Orientation Days

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, we will start at 10 a.m. with a basic information event for first-year bachelor students of Chemistry.

At 12 p.m., the Campus Rally for Bachelor's first-years follows, giving you an overview of the university grounds. As a part of the tour, you will have the opportunity to buy an affordable lab coat, which you will need in your first semester.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 10 a.m., the second part of our basic info event for bachelor students takes place.

Simultaneously, at 10 a.m., the info event for Master students of Chemistry takes place, with specific information on that program. Afterwards, at 12 p.m. the Campus Tour for Master's first-years follows. (The Campus Tour is primarily for those students, who haven't studied at FU Berlin before.)

At 12 p.m., you can discuss open questions with the staff of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Examinations, as well as the student counselors.

At 7 p.m., we will meet for a nice bar night at Honigdachs bar (Grünberger Straße 64, 10245 Berlin, PLEASE NOTE: only cash paymen possible), where you can get to know each other, as well as older students, and have a drink (or more) :-)

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, we will be happy to welcome you at 12 p.m. for a Brunch at the SupraFAB (Altensteinstraße 23A, 14195 Berlin).

And finally, at 2 p.m., we invite you to join us at an open meeting of the student council.

Lab Coat Sale and Campus Rally

The Lab Coat Sale takes place on October 8, 2024, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 14.07, Takustr. 3. The price for a lab coat is 15 EUR. Please bring cash. You may try on the coat there.

If you missed the Lab Coat Sale, there will be another date coming soon. Watch out for a respective announcement.

There will be an English-language Campus Tour for Master's first years (including non-German speaking students) on Wednesday, as well as a German-language Campus Rally for Bachelor's first-years on Tuesday.

Participants will be able to buy a lab coat during or after the Campus Rally. Participants of the Campus Tour are asked to get a lab coat on Tuesday, if needed.
