My research interests lie within the ecology of aquatic protists, especially ciliates and testate amoebae. I’m focused in understanding how natural communities are shaped using ciliates and testate amoebae as community models. I have recently joined the Multitrophic Biodiversity Group as a fellowship student with aims to become a PhD student. Right now I’m interested in how dispersion affects ciliate and testate amoebae communities in bromeliads and furthermore, how do these organisms arrive and colonize bromeliads.
