Abstract

The subproject "Ecohydrological feedback analyses" in the framework of OPTIMASS is quantifying ecohydrological feedbacks in savanna systems, which include the assessment of water fluxes in the soil and in plants, and species-specific vegetation responses to water stress as well as soil erosion caused by surface water fluxes. Based on empirical studies, we will use the model EcoHyD to assess water fluxes and vegetation dynamics as a result of different management strategies.
